Torin Thatcher

Born in Mumbai , India on January 15, 1905, Torin Thatcher graduated from RADA in London after attending Bedford. He appeared in over a hundred different plays ranging from the works of Shaw, Shakespeare, and the Greek tragedies. Thatcher made fifty British films before moving to the United States where he made his first American film, “Affair in Trinidad.” He continued to appear on the Broadway stage, including the critically acclaimed play “The Miracle Worker” with Patty Duke as Helen Keller. Thatcher continued to work in movies and television until his death on March 4, 1981 at his home in Thousand Oaks, California.
