William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar

1970

Stuart Burge
Director

Beware the ides of March.

All star version of Shakespeare's play that manages to cram in most of the dialogue. Gielgud is great, Heston is fine, but Jason Robards is a bit of a liability. Substantial battle scene at the end.

The March 1970 edition of Playboy features a small legion of naked beauties all of whom are supposed to be in the movie...I'm not convinced any of them are in the final flick.
Update: Actually they flit past during the opening credits if you are paying attention.
