A trilogy of disturbing stories are told to the author of a series of horror novels by a vampire at his local "monster club".
The first story is probably the best, about a shadmock, who falls in love with his new house assistant. He soon realises she has no interest in him, but only to steal his valuables; her punishment is quite severe.
Story number two is about a vampire living in London who is being hunted by a group of men carrying violin cases.
The final story features a film director who finds himself in a small, foggy village in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by ghouls. His attempt to later rescue one of the young girls there ends in disaster for both of them.

Intriguing semi-horror film which has both high points and low points, but all things considered it's a good balance.

There is one simply superb piece of directing in the final segment when Stuart Whitman's character pulls up to see the signpost to "Loughville". As he drives off into the distance the camera follows him and pans left to reveal the name once more as if to say "are you sure you want to go there?". Brilliant work from director Baker.
