Pardon Us

1931

James Parrott
Director

Laurel & Hardy's first full-length movie has them imprisoned for distributing alcohol during the prohibition. And things don't get off to a comfortable strat for them either when Stan manages to upset the warden with his buzzing tooth problem and they are sent into cell 14 with the toughest criminal there, The Tiger. However, after a daring escape Stan and Ollie take refuge as cotton pickers disguised as negros where Hardy's vocal talents are highlighted beautifully with his rendition of Lazy Moon.
