The Bridge at Remagen

1969

John Guillermin
Director

Perhaps the alternate title should be A Bridge Almost too Far. Tale of the US troops sent to capture the Remagen bridge over the Rhine. Fair WWII actioner with conflicts among the officers on both sides.

A more interesting tale might be how the whole production had to bail out of their Czech locations when the Russians arrived!
I also wonder how much of the script got left out as there are a couple of continuity problems and the supporting actors don't get a look in.
