Loony Miami caterer kills women to use their body parts as sacrifices to his goddess.

Not a good movie, but an important one, the first splatter movie, the first of many such films that would exploit a latent market eager for blood and gore. This is the movie that laid the groundwork for much of 1960s and 1970s film history, a movement that would peter out with the oversaturation of slasher films and 'video nasties' in the 1980s. Whatver you think of the film, you can't deny Lewis and David Friedman were canny businessmen!

RIP Herschell--you were one of a kind (and that's probably a good thing!)
