Based on a true story, former prostitute Aileen Wuornos embarks upon a killing spree of would-be clients after she is brutalized at the hands of a nasty customer in the dark, remote Florida woods. During this time she has befriended a young woman in a bar and the two hit it off with an intimate relationship. The usually beautiful Theron underwent a physical and facial transformation for the movie, earning her a much-deserved Academy Award for her troubles. ~ Lord.

Originally upset by the casting of Theron as Wouronos, I eat humble pie as she does an excellent job portraying poor mad/bad Aileen and the circus that became her life and death. Special Edition includes Nick Broomfield's excellent documentaries on the subject. ~ The Sloth.
