Kingdom of Heaven

2005

Ridley Scott
Director

Completely butchered at the box office by that Sith thing (why did the studio let them compete?), hopefully Ridley Scott's meditation on the crusades will find a bigger audience on DVD. Stunning battle sequences, historical accuracy and Jeremy Irons at the top of his game. Not as enjoyable as Gladiator, but infinitely better than Troy or Alexander. Highly recommended. The four disc version is just too-cool-for-cats.
