The Rebel Alliance, who overcame impossible odds to destroy the Empire's dreaded Death Star, find themselves on the receiving end of a furious backlash assault led by the evil (and quite aggressive) Darth Vader. The impatient Luke Skywalker is forced to confront Vader when his friends Han Solo and Princess Leia are held hostage, but does so before he completes his training as a fully accomplished Jedi knight and soon finds himself way out of his league in terms of matching power and skill with the Dark Lord. And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, Luke is told a secret which not only haunted him but everybody in the audience watching the movie on the big screen!
Many of the fans' favourite film in the original trilogy.

George Lucas has twice tweaked the original version of the movie: firstly a Special Edition released in 1997 and then again 2006 (with a notable change, replacing the original Emperor played by a female actress/with chimpanzee eyes and voiced by Clive Revill, with the 'proper' Emperor of Ian McDiarmid).

For the other five films in the STAR WARS series:
Star Wars Ep. I: The Phantom Menace (1999)
Star Wars Ep. II: Attack Of The Clones (2002)
Star Wars Ep. III: Revenge Of The Sith (2005)

Star Wars Ep. IV: A New Hope (1977)
Star Wars Ep. VI: Return Of The Jedi (1983)
