Richard Stanley
Director

An artist gets more than she bargained for when her boyfriend drops off a pile of robot scraps for her art project.

Saturn 3 meets The Terminator in this low budget sci fi thriller by a director with a considerable visual flair for his post apocalypse, globally warmed, cyber-punk world. Hootkins is a hoot as the pervert-next-door who comes to the 'rescue'.

All said and done though the fighting the robot thing drags on too long with too damp a finale to really satisfy.

This director will go far, we thought at the time, though Richard Stanley seems to have had more bad luck with projects than Terry Gilliam.
