Tongue-in-cheek mystery stars Robert Mitchum as 70-year-old retired private eye Jake Spanner, who agrees to take on one last case for his old nemesis, Sal Piccolo (Ernest Borgnine). Mitchum and Borgnine had a lot of fun making this film. Also appearing is John Mitchum (Robert's brother) who plays his on-screen brother, J.P. Spanner, and James Mitchum (Robert's son) plays his nephew, police Lieutenant Kevin Spanner. This film was also known as "Hoodwinked."
