Perennial stage and screen actress clocking up 5 years on the CBS soap, Search for Tomorrow among others. The sister of playright, Arthur Miller, who tried to disuade her from a theatrical career. Coincidentally Copeland and Arthur's future wife, Marilyn Monroe, were both early attendees at Lee Strasbourg's renowned Actor's Studio. Made her broadway debut as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet in 1945. Copeland enjoyed something of breakout success when she took over the lead in "Pal Joey" after Eleanor Parker quit just before the play opened in 1976. 2009 found her still treading the boards in Tennessee Williams' "Suddenly Last Summer".
