Tale of a bounty hunter in L.A. and his pursuit of a vicious pimp, and then the maddened pimp's main bitch.
My favorite soundtrack of the blaxploitation genre. "Pursuit of the Pimpmobile" makes a great track for cruising. Not the best film of that genre, though, let down by a progressively ludicrous ending in which Yaphet Kotto both overacts and milks his death scene for all it's worth. Only other real letdown, besides an unnecessary bit of animal cruelty, is Annazette Chase's shrill, one note performance, which stands out even in a film that's basically a cartoon. The real standout, though, is Nichelle Nichols, whose performance as the nasty Dorinda could give an unprepared Trekkie a coronary. That pimp funeral, though!
