Three men arrive in a small mining town and plot to hold up a bank.
Stand out performance from Borgnine as an Amish farmer whose barn becomes the central area for the hold-up afterwards. All the sub-plots involving the peeping-tom bank manager, the copper mine chief and his wife, and the son who thinks his father as a coward do seem to make the already-thin plot sag a little.
Based on the novel by William Heath.
