What Dreams May Come

1998

Vincent Ward
Director

Chris Nielsen encounters the afterlife and tries to make sense of his shattered life.

This isn't a film it's a mood. If you are in the right one for it you might just think this is the greatest movie ever. Otherwise you will squirm though every second of it. Stunningly beautiful visuals, heartache and gooey sentimentality beat you senseless over the films duration. It's all too much. Less, less would be so much better. Anyone expecting Williams to be funny well this is mawkish not Morkish so go rent Aladdin instead. Annabella Sciorra is to die for.
