Somewhere in the early 17th century a family attempt to make a life for themselves in the New World. The title should tell you that this will not be straight forward.
The best atmosphere of period unease and dread I can recall since Blood on Satan's Claw and the underrated Eyes of Fire. Not totally happy with it, but a very good effort.

Creepy movie; shame audiences didn't find it "scary" enough, proof that maybe Hollywood is correct in judging the IQ level of their audience. Eat a steady diet of sh*t like Paranormal Activity and its clones, and you won't have the palate to recognize something decent.
