Remake of the 1950 movie starring Spencer Tracy.
A father slowly comes to terms with the fact that his grown-up daughter wants to leave home and get married. A straightforward romantic comedy with some fine touches of humour, mostly from Martin Short as the eccentric wedding organiser 'Franck'.
Followed by Father Of The Bride Part II (1995).
