Scotland Yard inspector pursues a murderer across several continents, and in the process reunites estranged lovers.
Odd adaptation of the third Charlie Chan novel relegates the honorable policeman to a couple of throwaway scenes near the end of the film, and instead devotes most of the running time to a Sheik-like romance. The leads are OK, though it's obvious that Moran's career in sound films was doomed to be short, and the film tends to plod a bit. Emery's droll inspector largely makes up for those deficiencies, though. Of note, though his screentime is brief, this is the only film to have Chan portrayed by an Asian actor.
