All Quiet on the Western Front

1930

Lewis Milestone
Director

The horrors of WWI as seen through the eyes of four comrades.

Overshadowed by All Quiet on the Western Front, this German made anti-war film still packs a wallop, being slightly grittier than it's more illustrious Hollywood contemporary.

Some guesses on the vidcaps, André Saint-Germain is either the French soldier fighting with the student or the penultimate French soldier methinks. Think that is Gustav Püttjer identified though (unless he's the clown).
